What is a Plasma Pen treatment?

The Plasma Pen uses a small handheld device that generates a tiny plasma arc (a controlled spark) when it comes close to the skin — without actually touching it. This arc creates micro-trauma to the skin’s surface, which triggers the body’s natural healing response and stimulates the production of:

• Collagen
• Elastin
• Fibroblasts (cells that help with skin repair and firmness)

This results in skin tightening, lifting and textural improvements over time.

Plasma Pen is especially popular for treating:

• Eyelid tightening (non-surgical blepharoplasty)
• Fine lines and wrinkles (around the mouth, eyes and forehead)
• Crow’s feet
• Loose skin (neck, jawline or décolletage)

What to expect during your treatment?

We always recommend booking a consultation before as we need to assess your skin and see if you’re a suitable candidate for a Plasma Pen treatment. Before we start, we apply a topical numbing cream and numb the skin for at least 30–45 minutes to give you the most comfortable experience.

During your treatment, the Plasma Pen creates tiny carbon dots (small crusts) on the skin in the targeted area. Each dot creates a micro-burn that begins the contraction and healing process. No blood or open wounds occur — the epidermis remains mostly intact. This process is fairly quick. Once we’ve completed your treatment, we’ll discuss the aftercare instructions to support healing and prevent complications.

Healing Timeline & Results

• Immediately after: Redness, swelling and dotting (crusts form over each dot)
• Days 1–7: Dots dry and flake off naturally
• Weeks 2–4: Skin appears tighter and smoother
• Weeks 4–12: Full fibroblast activation and collagen remodelling takes place
• Long-term: Results can last 2–3 years with proper skincare and sun protection
